Wood men inspected it, they were greatly angered to find the float had been stripped of everything in the form of decorations, including several hand some emblems of the order, expensive velvet artificial flowers, and an artis tic banner, all of which had been placed upon the float to add grace and beauty to the really beautiful speci men of craftsmanship. The float represented an expendi ture upon the ,part of the Woodmen of nearly $200, and it was rifled of decorations and emblems, which ag gregated in value practically $100. The complete demolition of the float is ren dered all the more aggravating on ac count of the fact that the local Wood men had entered ; upon negotiations with Charleston Woodmen for the pur chase of the afloat by the latter. The local Woodmen are very angry, and justly so, because of the wanton wrecking of their, float and if they are able to locate' the perpetrators of the deed, they intend to prosecute the matter, to the fullest extent of the law.
